The Threes are OVER

Praise the Lord, the kids are 4!!  Can I just tell you how glad I am that the threes are over!  Reese and Tucker have become increasingly more compliant and less temperamental to closer they've gotten to four so I'm counting on the fours to be a breeze compared to the last 12 months. 
We celebrated with our 4th annual Splish Splash Birthday Bash.  It was their first "friend" party and they had an absolute blast!

Water Baby

It's a good thing the pool is warm already.  That girl Rylan l.o.v.e.s it and you know I won't get in unless it's like bath water!  Didn't take long this year.

 Terrible picture but had to show off her cute suit... seriously.. Doesn't get any cuter than that!

Reese is especially loving the water this season. She even went swimming in the lake!  We're hoping the bigs learn how to swim... time for Grandma to work her magic and get them out of those floaties!

Nothing says summer like swimming and snow cones....

Wagonning with Big E

Rylan loves to be outside.  She's not as crazy about the swing as Reese was... I think she'll be hanging out with Tucker and Chris while Reese and I go on the roller coasters.  But she loves riding in the wagon.  I love it that she has two cousins about the same age... she doesn't have to tag along with the bigs all the time. She and Easton had a play date at Grandma's...

 That boy needs a seat belt... think he might be a daredevil like Tucker!

Dirt Bike Danger

Tucker has been watching his cousin Caden ride his dirt bike for months now and talking about how he can't wait to ride it when he gets bigger.  You can imagine his excitement when we went to stay with Chris' cousin Lisa's family and their 5 year old son had one just the right size.  He was so sweet to let Tucker have a turn or two or three...

He followed Owen around all weekend... the had a blast playing together.  And now Tucker has a new birthday wish list!

Surviving the Summer Heat

It's unbearably hot and we're avoiding the outdoors at all costs.  The only way to tolerate it is to be totally soaking wet... and not in a sweaty kind of way.
Swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's is a family favorite this summer.  The kids have turned into little fish... jumping off the diving board, swimming around all on their own.  Being in the pool is so much more fun when you don't have two toddlers hanging all over you!  I love that they're independent in the pool now. 

The kids have also enjoyed their water table and playing in the sprinkler to stay cool.  Uncle Brian was so sweet to get all this set up for the kids to play in the sprinkler at their house last week.  They LOVED it!  

 Boo to the Texas Heat... but yeah for lots of summer water fun! 



Summer Nights

Summer is winding down.  As much as I hate having to be back at work, I'm not going to miss the heat one bit!  Despite the heat, we spent a lot of summer nights outdoors this year.  Most of them looked a little something like this:

We're looking forward to more relaxing evenings at Grandma and Grandpa's this fall.
