Water Baby

It's a good thing the pool is warm already.  That girl Rylan l.o.v.e.s it and you know I won't get in unless it's like bath water!  Didn't take long this year.

Terrible picture but had to show off her cute suit... seriously.. Doesn't get any cuter than that!

Now she's just flirting....

Reese is especially loving the water this season. She even went swimming in the lake!  We're hoping the bigs learn how to swim... time for Grandma to work her magic and get them out of those floaties!

Nothing says summer like swimming and snow cones....

Wagonning with Big E

Rylan loves to be outside.  She's not as crazy about the swing as Reese was... I think she'll be hanging out with Tucker and Chris while Reese and I go on the roller coasters.  But she loves riding in the wagon.  I love it that she has two cousins about the same age... she doesn't have to tag along with the bigs all the time. She and Easton had a play date at Grandma's...

That boy needs a seat belt... think he might be a daredevil like Tucker!

Grandma kisses make everything all better... even when you have to get out of the wagon.

Rub a Dub - 3 in a Tub

Bath time has become quite the circus in the Tims' house!  Now that Rylan can sit up and crawl around, she often joins Reese and Tucker in the tub.  I'm usually soakin' wet when I'm done (Chris too when it's his turn) but we've got bath time down to a science.  Besides the scrubbin' we have a little fun too...

Rylan usually has to come out first and throws a rip-roaring fit.  She's a fish just like the bigs!  She also enjoys brushing her teeth in the sink.

Oh how I'm dreading the day that all the kids can't take a bath together... I'm all about efficiency!

Besties

It's happening already.  Tucker will ask Reese to play with him and she'll say, "No, I'm playing with Rylan."  While I hate that Tucker is being left out, I have to admit that I love to see Reese playing with Rylan.  I'm praying that they become not just sisters but lifelong best friends.

My older sister and I are 3 years apart just like Reese and Rylan and I don't remember us ever really fighting.  We shared a room for years, spent summer after summer serving snow cones together, and even shared some friends during the college years.  She made me lick the deodorant once, but other than that, she was a great big sister.  When I was 9 years old, my baby sister was born. She's wearing a diaper in most of my childhood memories.  But as an adult, she's a bestie for sure!

I'm so blessed to have two incredible sisters... that both live right up the street!  I pray that Reese and Rylan become besties early in life and develop a bond that keeps them close forever!

They're off to a great start...

I totally don't deserve to be so blessed!

Sweetness

My sweet little Rylan is 8 months old now.  How is that possible??  She still has the sweetest smile and continues to be the easiest of all the Tims' children.  She does have a little temper though... especially if Reese or Tucker takes one of her toys away.  This girl is learning to defend herself already.  You'd never know it by the sweetness in these pictures though...

The latest stats put our girl in the 25th percentile for weight and the 95th for length.  She's been sitting up on her own for months and is now army crawling all over the place.   She'll be chasing her brother and sister around before we know it!

Smiln' Rylan

I can hear her now... "There are way more pictures of Reese and Tucker than of me when I was a baby." And she'll be right.  Gotta work harder people.  Here are a few we've taken of Rylan in the last few months...

This girl continues to be happy, content, snuggly and always smilin'!!

Oh Brother

So, I'm in the kitchen making pancakes yesterday (at the crack of dawn I might add... because that's when Tucker gets up) and this is what Tucker is busy doing...

Rylan didn't seem to mind.  Not that I'm surprised though. She also didn't mind when he sat on her back and yelled "Yaw, giddy-up horsey" or when he used her as a step stool to get on the couch.

We're working on the whole "Brothers are supposed to protect their sisters" thing.  Hopefully it will sink in before he does some serious damage.  Until then... he can't be left alone with her!

Rollin' Rylan

So - I'm about a month behind on blog posts.  What can I say... full-time principal and mom of 3 barely has time to wash her hair, let alone post pictures on the blog.

Baby girl Rylan is so refreshing.  She's by far the easiest baby I've had... with the biggest smile.  Her accomplishments by month three included:  sleeping through the night (8 hours baby), rolling over, saying "hi" (according to Tucker).

She is the snuggliest baby in the world - she just melts into your arms and will let you hold every piece of her.  And when she gets to "talking" she sounds just like a Velosoraptor.  Random, I know.

Her BIG (soon to be brown, I think) eyes just melt my heart!

She's our polka-dot princess...

She prefers to sleep on her side or stomach these days and has just learned out to turn over in her swaddle.  Makes this mama nervous.

When we first introduced her to her new toy, she couldn't figure out how to get her arms out... a little frustrating for her.  She's since mastered that and loves her froggie.

Roaring 20's

I'm ridiculously behind on posts, but have to jump ahead and post Halloween pictures... CUTENESS!!

Rylan made the cutest sack of money you've ever seen.  And I have to say that her costume is totally appropriate... diapers, day care, medical bills... the money sign is right on target!

Chris was sure to note that this would be the only time in Tucker's life when he could wear liquid eyeliner. Daddy did a great job on his facial hair.

I'm pretty sure the kids had no idea what they were.  When people asked them what they were going to be for Halloween, Reese said "A Princess Flapper" and Tucker said a "Monster" instead of a "Mobster."

Reese wouldn't wear her feather boa (imagine that... Reese being difficult). But she made a mean swing dance partner though.

I'm pretty sure this is the last year they're going to let me coordinate their costumes... so I had to go all out.  They were adorable and had tons of fun Trick-or-Treating and playing at the Church Fall Festival. More pictures to come.

2 Months

How has it been two months already? Okay, actually it's been almost three... but it's hard to keep up these days.  Rylan is growing and changing like crazy.  She's still sweet, content and super easy... and now she loves to talk and smile. It's fun that's she's interacting with us now, but I totally want her to stop growing!  She's the only one in my house that doesn't argue with me... so right now, she's totally my favorite. Ha!

She went for her two month check-up and was 10lbs, 11 oz (50th percentile) and 24 3/4 inches long (100th percentile).  Never thought there would be a Tims baby in the 100th percentile for anything.

She's beautiful in every way....
